PCA Foundation Adds Staff To Manage Growth

The PCA Foundation adds four people to its staff to better serve donors as part of its accelerated growth. In 2025, the PCAF set a record for gifts received and granted. Now, it is filling some key positions that will position it to serve even more donors in years to come.

“We are grateful for the growth we’ve experienced and the opportunity to serve more donors,” said Tim Townsend, president of the PCA Foundation. “With the increase of new donors and complex gifts, we’ve added talent to assist on the front-end and back-end of donor services. Due to the growth we’ve experienced, we have re-examined and restructured our operations to be more efficient and effective in serving donors.”

Nick Shimoda has been hired as a giving strategist and legal gift strategy developer. Shimoda comes to the Foundation from the Signatry, where he served as vice president and deputy general counsel. He is a ruling elder at First Presbyterian Church, Dothan, Alabama. Nick graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Economics). He earned his J.D. and LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Alabama. Shimoda will develop legal strategies for donors with complex gifts.

Jennifer Coffin has been hired as an accounting assistant. Coffin comes to the Foundation from the insurance industry, where she spent fifteen years measuring financial performance, developing actuarial analyses, and solving business problems. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of Texas.

Tom Mayfied has been hired to serve as associate business manager. A 25-year career in commercial real estate development and capital markets led Tom to this role and his experience in senior leadership roles and in the management of complex financial strategies will be a tremendous asset to the Foundation. Tom holds a B.S. in Accounting from Bob Jones University and an M.S. in Finance from Georgia State University.

Eva Goldstein has been hired to assist with the Foundation’s administrative needs. She brings an extensive background in emerging technologies, process management, and client service.

The PCA Foundation is a donor-driven foundation, facilitating generosity to advance God’s kingdom. As a ministry of the Presbyterian Church in America, the Foundation serves generous Christians through donor-advised funds and complex gifts. It also provides special services to congregations, such as online giving and designated funds. The Foundation continues to experience rapid growth due in large part to its significant expertise in facilitating the donation of non-cash assets such as private businesses, real estate, and appreciated securities.

In light of this growth, the Foundation is actively in search of hard-working professionals who want to use their skills to advance their careers and God’s kingdom. Discover current career opportunities at the Foundation here.
