IRA Charitable Rollover

You may instruct the custodian of your IRA to distribute sums directly (roll over) to the PCA Foundation, which sums the Foundation will allocate among one or more single charity funds for charities you select, from which funds the Foundation will make grants, at times recommended by you in your discretion, only to the corresponding charities.  These IRA charitable rollovers are called “qualified charitable distributions” or “QCDs.”

Follow these easy steps to accomplish a qualified charitable distribution from your IRA.

Click here to establish one or more Single Charity Funds, or send an email to Mark Bailey in which you list the charities you wish to benefit and the amount of the QCD to be allocated to each charity.  Repeat this step every time you wish to direct another QCD to the Foundation for a charity, even if you previously have directed a QCD to the Foundation for the same charity.

Only after completing the prior step, instruct your IRA custodian, “Please distribute $[amount] from my individual retirement account [annuity] to PCA Foundation Trust, a Delaware wholly charitable trust exempt from federal income tax under Internal Revenue Code section 501(c)(3), which is other than a private foundation under Code section 509(a)(1), at 1700 North Brown Road, Lawrenceville, GA 30043.”  If you or your custodian wish to make the distribution as an inter-account transfer, or by electronic funds transfer or wire, please email Mark Bailey or call (678) 825-1054.
