Nick graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Economics). He earned his J.D. and LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Alabama. He served as in-house litigator for Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. He served as founding principal of Stonebridge Law, LLP. His law firm focused on estate planning, elder law, probate, charitable giving, real property, and mergers and acquisitions. He also served as Vice President and Deputy General Counsel for a Christian foundation focusing on tax-efficient nonliquid gift strategies. He is a ruling elder at First Presbyterian Church, Dothan, Alabama. He also served as collegiate staff with The Navigators. He and his wife, Laurie, live in Dothan, Alabama. They have two daughters, Lacey and Lindsey.
